Document scanning is an effective way of storing paper-based information electronically. Once scanned information can be accessed from a clients P.C workstation in a variety of ways including CD-ROM, Network (LAN & WAN) Intranet and Extranet Web Based access. MIDS provide high quality volume business scanning. We offer a complete service including the preparation of the documentation, de-stapling, unfolding etc through to a variety of file outputs. Every image is checked before delivery to ensure information is legible and clear to the best of our abilities. Archiving large quantities of documents that have to be retained despite having finished their active life-cycle, is the primary use. MIDS take cabinets, folders, boxes or even rooms full of paper and convert them quickly and accurately into electronic data and images. MIDS can scan documents from as small as till receipts to as large as A0 engineering drawings, mono or colour. The capture of electronic data is also very effective Collections are set up to suite the client and documents are prioritised according to their requirement with scanned data being available in some cases on the same day. If it is electronic data that needs processing this can be delivered to us by email. This captured data is typically more detailed than that required for archiving purposes alone and is used to feed a business process such as invoice processing or order fulfilment saving you from having to enter the data manually into your systems. MIDS we recognise that every company has it's own ways of working with documents and therefore its own requirements for their electronic archiving and the capture of data they contain for indexing; therefore we have developed a methodology of working which allows us to adopt a flexible approach to capturing your paper to meet your needs whilst ensuring the highest standards in security, quality, accuracy. MIDS can provide images in many formats and offers the Alchemy viewing platform, from a free Windows based viewing system to a comprehensive document management system or web based image repository. |
